Stories of History 1891

Home > About Our Magazines > Miscellaneous Magazines > Stories of History 1891

Stories of History is a single volume published in London and edited by noted adventure author G.A. Henty. The book is set up like a magazine, with articles and stories serialized in installments. Like most of Henty's novels, the book is clearly aimed at British boys, and offers a wide variety of articles and fiction, including Cressy and Poictiers, a novel by John Edgars that follows the adventures of "the Black Prince's Page." The book was part of a series that included Stories of Sea and Land, and Stories of Peril and Adventure. It is illustrated throughout with excellent engravings.

VictorianVoices.net has made this complete volume, and over 250 other magazines, available for free download from Archive.org. Visit our magazine download page for a complete list of available magazines.
