Here's a look at what the rest of the world looked like during the Victorian era - or, at least, how it looked to Victorians! This wonderful collection of international people brings you a unique Victorian view of the people of Europe, Asia, Africa, the Middle East, the Americas and more. While some images are rather romanticized, the majority are drawn directly from life, sketched by Victorian travelers on their journeys. This collection includes black and white illustrations, engravings made from actual photographs, full-color ephemera, and full-color prints. We're especially delighted with the collection of Native American images, which includes some amazing illustrations by ethnographers, and portraits of living individuals.
