The Court Magazine and Belle Assemblée was first published as La Belle Assemblée from 1806-1832. It took on the current name from 1832-1837, then became The Court Magazine and Monthly Critic in 1837. It ceased publication in 1848. The magazine covered fashion, music, fine arts, various nonfiction topics, society news and gossip, and fiction. For more information, see Wikipedia.
