|
Though this section is primarily a "travel guide" to Britain's cities, towns and villages, it also looks at anything else to do with a specific town or city (other than London). It includes, for example, the interesting "man and town" series from the English Illustrated Magazine, which looks at a particular peer and the town with which he is associated or responsible for (e.g., Lord Burton and Burton-on-Trent). Hence, here you'll find articles on industrial towns, the economics of key cities, and more. Towns are listed alphabetically; towns in Scotland, Wales and Ireland will be found on those pages. (London, of course, has a section all its own!)
