In a way, we consider this entire site to be about "Victorian Life." This section, however, is set aside for articles that reveal what it was like to live in the Victorian era, from a personal standpoint. It looks at issues of daily life, such as handling personal finances. It looks at such topics as living in lodgings, dealing with safety issues, and what it was like to travel by Victorian modes of transportation. It also looks at the more eccentric side of life that characterized the Victorian era, including odd and amazing performances (such as a "champion orange-peeler") and some rather strange sporting events. It also brings you a section on religion, with articles demonstrating the Victorian struggle between a long-abiding faith and the challenges of the scientific and "enlightened," "modern" world. It brings you a host of personal anecdotes that reveal how Victorians dealt with the problems, and pleasures, of their ever-changing world. And, of course, this is the section where we've simply put all those bits that couldn't find a home anywhere else on the site!
