I call this section the "Researcher's Corner," as it's the place for anyone looking for facts, lists, data, numbers, statistics, etc. One of our primary sources of Victorian statistics was The Illustrated London Almanack, an annual publication that included all sorts of information deemed useful to British readers in general and residents of London in particular. This worthy publication ran an annual list of the Queen's ministers and government officials, plus lists of banks and bankers, London officials and administrators, population information, lists of world leaders and rulers, and much more. For American statistics we have Collier's Cyclopedia of 1882, which offers data on money, census information, and lots of geographical details.
