               Amenable—any thing that is mean.
               Ammonia—the food of the gods.
               Animosity—a sudden surprise.
                   —kindness.
                   —thoughtfullness.
                   —an emblem or sign.
                   —great liveliness.
               Aristocracy—to be stuck up.
               Armistice—one who takes part in battle.
               Asphyxia—a grumbling fussy temper.
